LONG AWAITED UPDATE!

SUMMARY OF EVENTS SINCE LAST POST:

ALL IS LOST.

THE DREAM HAS ENDED.

DEADLINES SHALL NOT BE MET.

After discovering new pens, new shading styles, receiving inking assignments late and unfinished from various artists, I've found the strength to admit to myself that I'm not going to have jack-shit ready for SPX2010.

So I'm throwing together some samples and using the Expo as a chance to network and apologize to all the artists I've emailed while intoxicated.

I'll send out the samples I'm selling at SPX to those I love or wish to impress.

SELAH.

AN END IS NOW IN SIGHT...

THESE ARE THE LAST SAMPLES I'LL POST BEFORE THE PRINTING OF THE FINISHED BOOK.

26 PAGES OF PENCILLING LEFT TO FINISH ON THE FIRST COMIC BOOK.
ROUGHLY ONE MONTH FROM NOW (the middle of April) INKING SHOULD BE COMPLETE.

THEN IT'S SIMPLY A MATTER OF TEDIOUS SCANNING AND PRINTING COMPANY SELECTION.

YOU'RE WELCOME.

MEET CLUSTY!
He's cute. He makes me smile.

THESE ARE THE SKILLS I'VE CHOSEN TO IMPROVE IN THIS LIFE.

RULERS ARE FOR COWARDS.
I'm getting better at drawing "lines"...

GODDESS BETRAYED.

Sorry I pulled the other posters of Minerva. I'm close to finishing the pencil-work for the enitre book, so I've grown quite protective.

EVOLUTION and MISOGYNIST SQUIRRELS.

CONTRASTING SAMPLES OF ORIGINAL FROM LATE 2008 AND THE REDRAWN VERSION.
NOTE: I am well aware of the fact that VIRGIL is a vulgar, offensive misogynist.
THAT'S THE POINT. STOP EMAILING ME ABOUT IT.
IT'S BORING.

PEARLS BEFORE SWINE.

-TWO EXCERPTS FROM THE "DEAD INSURGENT GALLERY" THEME OF THE BOOK-

THIS SHOULD HELP ANSWER A LOT OF INCREDIBLY INTERESTING QUESTIONS I'VE BEEN EMAILED CONCERNING THE APPEARANCE OF SO MANY MUTILATED CHARACTERS IN THE STRIP SAMPLES BEING PASSED AROUND AND POSTED HERE. I GUESS IT'S HARD TO FIGURE IT OUT WHEN THEY'RE CARTOON DEPICTIONS OF SOCK PUPPETS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN SHADED WITH A #2 PENCIL TO APPEAR PROPERLY UNAMERICAN [ARABIC]. DON'T WORRY, GUYS. THEY'LL ALL BE SHADED AND VISIBLY "NOT FROM AROUND HERE" WHEN IT HITS THE PRESS.

ALL HAIL XENOPHOBIC AND IRONIC CARTOON COMMENTARY.

PRODUCTIVITY.

The insane amount of pencil work I completed in the first two weeks of February has exhausted the spatial capacity of my INK ANY drawer... [and in case you're either a moron or bored enough to be interested, the labels aren't for ME. They're for the blonde 4' 11" 100lb Inking Department.]
